Car showroom interior design in Abu Dhabi takes on a new dimension with the Roewe Showroom delivered by River Island Interiors in partnership with Al Fahim Motors, the brand’s official distributor in the capital. Positioned on Saif Ghobash Street in Al Rawdah, the showroom needed to hold its own in one of Abu Dhabi’s busiest automotive retail corridors, sitting alongside established dealerships while giving Roewe a distinct architectural identity of its own. The result is a car showroom interior design that pairs bold exterior branding with a calm, considered showroom floor built to let the vehicles lead.
This car showroom interior design in Abu Dhabi project required a layout that could support multiple display zones — vehicle showcase, customer lounge, and a dedicated technology briefing area — without the space feeling divided or cramped.
PROJECT : ROEWE SHOWROOM — AL FAHIM MOTORS
LOCATION : SAIF GHOBASH ST, AL RAWDAH, ABU DHABI, UAE
The showroom floor is defined by a sculptural, angled ceiling of black-finished linear slats and integrated LED strip lighting — a more dramatic architectural gesture than a flat ceiling plane, drawing the eye upward while still directing focus back down onto the vehicles below. Large-format desert-inspired photography anchors the walls, grounding the space in its regional context without competing with the cars on display. Polished grey porcelain flooring and a restrained white-and-charcoal palette keep the backdrop neutral, letting each vehicle’s finish read clearly under the showroom lighting.
A dedicated customer lounge — burnt-terracotta leather armchairs paired with a cream sofa around a round marble-topped table — gives clients a comfortable space to sit with sales consultants, while a separate communal high table with stools offers a more casual, walk-in-friendly zone near the display floor.
Every material choice in this car showroom interior design in Abu Dhabi was selected to complement Roewe’s vehicle line-up, from the reflective flooring to the way the ceiling’s linear lighting rakes light across each car’s bodywork.
Showroom layouts like this are increasingly shaped by retail design best practices from organizations such as the Retail Design Institute, which we draw on when planning customer flow and product presentation.
Beyond the main showroom floor, the project included a dedicated Technology Education zone — a branded area where sales staff can walk customers through Roewe’s in-car technology away from the noise of the main floor, finished with the same desert-toned photography and a glass-walled office visible just beyond. Full-height glazing along the showroom’s edge frames uninterrupted views of the Abu Dhabi skyline, reinforcing the brand’s premium positioning while flooding the display floor with natural daylight.
Back-of-house, a staff pantry was fitted with rich walnut-toned joinery, white lacquer cabinet fronts, and a terrazzo-clad island counter — detailing consistent with the joinery quality featured across our joinery services work, extended here into a space built for staff comfort rather than customer display, but finished to the same standard as the public-facing showroom.
Delivering car showroom interior design in Abu Dhabi for a growing brand like Roewe meant coordinating exterior signage, structural ceiling work, glazing, joinery, and lighting design as a single integrated build — not a series of disconnected trades.
As with all River Island Interiors projects, the Roewe Showroom was delivered as a full turnkey fit-out: civil works, MEP coordination, joinery, glazing, lighting design, and final styling were all managed by a single project team from concept through handover. This is one of River Island Interiors’ first signature projects outside Dubai, demonstrating the same turnkey capability across the wider UAE.
The result is a car showroom interior in Abu Dhabi that feels premium, spacious, and distinctly Roewe — a space designed to support the brand’s growth in the capital while giving customers a comfortable, professional environment from arrival through to purchase.
